In machine terms, the right cleaning supplies are the ones that do the best job with the least drain on energy and resources. That means efficient cleaning and a compact design, for small premises, and power packed into a reasonable body size for larger premises. With more powerful commercial cleaning supplies like this, it is also necessary to find machines capable of cleaning with a reasonable degree of quietness too.
The nature of your premises can largely dictate the types of cleaning machines and chemicals you need to use – but particularly it can have an effect on the machines you choose. As noted the size of a premises must be taken into account as too, must the nature of the cleaning you expect each machine to undertake.
For instance, you may have your major cleaning attended to by a cleaning company, but keep on top of day to day dust and dirt with your own smaller array of commercial cleaning supplies. In this case your cleaning cupboard need only be stocked with a small commercial vacuum cleaner and the normal chemicals – polish, sanitising spray and glass cleaner.
If you carry out all cleaning duties yourself, you need the appropriate colour coded commercial cleaning supplies for each area. Normally you colour code red for toilet areas; green for food preparation areas; yellow for fixtures and fittings that have no sanitary purposes; and blue for general low risk areas, for example normal office surroundings.
If you run a commercial cleaning business of your own, you will of course need the proper commercial cleaning supplies for a range of environments and eventualities. These may include special quiet vacuum cleaners for use in dormitories, hospitals and prisons; and special colour coded waste bags for biological waste; chemical waste; and sensitive waste paper.
As a cleaner running a cleaning business, you may also be required to take certain qualifications and become licensed for handling specific types of waste, all with its own commercial cleaning supplies attached to it, and of course, the more qualified you are, the more types of cleaning contract you can take on. Or you may choose to nominate a specialty and pursue excellence in that one area only – for example
confidential cleaning of sensitive offices, which may involve data cleaning knowledge as well as the use of specialty bags and procedures. Environmental concerns may drive you to look for specifically eco-friendly commercial cleaning products, whatever your area of the trade. These days it is possible to replace many of the older caustic cleaning products with newer ones. They have a comparable cleaning efficiency but are far less hazardous to the environment. Less packaging is in other way far more eco friendly and thus is better for the planet as well.
